“One world one dream” is a motto from the 2008 Olympics held in
Beijing. “World” reflects unity. Unity means that everyone comes together. Unity is important to the Chinese people because they want the world to come together in a sporting greatness.  “Dream” means trying your best. You may not get gold, though you tried your best and you participated.  “World” also means peace. It is very important to the Chinese people because they don’t want an argument at the Olympics.   

What do you think “one world one dream” means? 

Bang!!   Whoosh.All of the sudden people rushed off like the waves coming ashore. A big group turned into little pieces of things scattered everywhere. They all were trying to gain first.  Later… Everyone was huffing and puffing, though they still kept going and going.  A while later… Yeah!!!

A few people were jumping around. They were screams and laughter. Though there was another story, for some they just sat and felt disappointed in themselves. 

Guess what will happen tomorrow???         :?:

Tomorrow…… will be my first debate. 

What is a debate?    

A debate is which you argue for the side you’re given. Our topic is “Earth hour is a waste of time”, we are the negative. Which means were saying “Earth hour is not a waste of time”.

In a debate their is 6/4 people.  You’ll need 6 if it’s in our own school. You’ll only need 4 if it is another school. WHY?? Well, because 2 people from their own school will have to be a time keeper. You’ll need a time keeper to know the time each person takes. A person is only allowed 3 minutes to talk. They are 3 speakers in each team. Their is one person who tells the 3 speakers what they say, also they congratulate the other team, I’m that!!

The other debaters are Natalie, Naomi and Ramiz.

I hope I’ll win.   P.S I’ll tell you if I do!!

Nadine and I chose to do volcanoes as part of our natural diasters project. 

Q: How are volcanoes created? A: They are created by tectonic plates beneath the earth’s surface. When they collide towards each other it’ll cause a volcano. The volcano will have a hole, causing magma beneath the earth’s surface to leak out which is the lava.       
Image from Google.Did you know that? Magma is actually rocks but because it is so hot it turns into runny, hot, and liquid.

What are Underwater Volcanoes?Under water volcanoes are volcanoes which occur under the water.  Underwater volcanoes can cause another island. That is exactly how
Hawaii came to life.

I had joined the green team!!

We already had two meetings.  

The green group is about saving the earth. We haven’t really done much yet and we got a lot to do. We have to get down and doing. 

On the first meeting we discussed about what’ll do in the green team. We actually had a chance to go in or not. I chose to go in. Next, we had to choose jobs to do. The limit was only two jobs because there were so many people who joined in the green team.

The jobs were:

• No Rubbish Day
• Native Gardens
• Compost Bins
• Worm Farms
• Solar Panels

I guess that’s all!

In the second meeting, we talked about fund - raising. We all tried to figure out what sorts of fund - raising we could do. We came up with couple of ideas. If we want to fund - raise we should go to the next meeting, I want to the next meeting.

Do you have any ideas for fund - raising?

Hi there we came back from the holidays!

Hi, again.

I know i’m a bit late writing this we have been so busy in these weeks getting back to school.

We have done lots of things. We visited the waste watchers, and also celebrated a bit of Chinese New Year.
